Shooting my first professional golf tourney

OK, I love golf, I love sports photography. Now I have credentials around my neck and I am ready to go. This has to be easy? I need to some research soon and kind of plan my days while trying to cover as much of the course I can while I am there. Oh yeah, shooting the AT&T National at Congressional next week. Tiger will be there and so will Phil. And another celeb, "President George H.W. Bush To Hit Ceremonial First Shot at AT&T National Hosted by Tiger Woods". I will let you know how it goes.

RUSH still lives

I took my 10 year old son to his first concert last night, the 30+ year old band, RUSH. I attended their last tour 5 years ago and they were as good as they were last night. 54 year old lead singer, Geddy Lee , can somehow still hit those notes. Drummer and song writer Neil Peart was surrounded by drums all night and did a fantastic 15 minute solo. Alex Lifeson, who has not aged a bit since I last saw him still looks like he loves his job and was great as well. The light show was the highlight of the concert and was one of, if not the best I have ever seen. They played a great South Park skit before going into Tom Sawyer. Over the years and with the changes of technology, the video camera covered the band better than ever and there was not a bad seat in the house. They had three huge digital screens behind the band and two 3 story screens on each side of the stage. It is great to see these bands we grew up with jamming like they did 30 years ago.

Dad wins competition with Son

I entered a local contest with a Baltimore based sports newspaper and the picture won photo of the week for last week’s edition. The paper, Baltimore Press Box Online, has a weekly competition where folks can enter shots of actions sports and the shot I took of Adam in mid-air during the long jump at the Walkersville Invitational won. We are now eligable to win $1000 or $1000 in camera equipment.
